Reports from Arbroath

Some of the best stories in sport are often the ones you haven’t heard yet.

There are good sport stories and then there are good stories behind sport and it’s the latter which are revealed and explored in Reports from Arbroath, a new series of exclusive in-depth interviews with leading figures from the worlds of cricket and football.

To a generation of West Midlands newspaper and social media devotees, the term Reports from Arbroath signified that something interesting was on the way. It could be anything - breaking news, strong opinion, honest analysis or quirky historical fact - but if it was reported from Arbroath it was worth a look.

Now Brian Halford, the architect of Reports from Arbroath, transfers the concept into a series of podcasts, in association with his friend and colleague Sean Miller from Orion Creative Services. A highly-respected sports journalist for more than 30 years, Brian trawls his extensive contacts book and speaks to some of the most articulate and entertaining sportspeople there. The result is a series of interviews which are informal and informative, funny and fascinating, honest and heartwarming.

In relaxed and humorous conversation with stars of football and cricket, Reports from Arbroath tells some of the engrossing stories behind the stories of sport. You never know what’s coming next… but it will be uplifting. Reports from Arbroath suggest you shouldn’t miss it!
